Redseal network interface config - IPv6

It doesn't appear that the network interfaces (i.e. set ip - in the virtual appliance) are configurable to IPv6, correct? If so, is there a timeline for that feature? Thanks

  • Hi,  Kevin South

While it's true that you can't statically assign an IPv6 address to the server via the CLI, it is possible to provide one via DHCP.  Is that an option for you?  That is, if you set your server to obtain its address via DHCP, you should find that assignment of a v6 address allows you to collect data from other v6 endpoints.  (If you're not sure whether you have one assigned, check View -> System Summary - it will list a v6 address if the server has been assigned one.)
